Take the controls of a Schweizer 300C helicopter and experience the thrill of flying for yourself. This exciting learning experience is perfect for those looking to attain a helicopter certificate or others looking to tick a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity off their bucket list.

The full Learn to Fly Experience last for 1 hour. After an introductory briefing on the helicopter and how it flies by your certified flight instructor. You’ll then climb into the helicopter for an introduction to the full startup sequence and pre take off checks. Once airborne you’ll be given the opportunity to try the controls of the helicopter one at a time before piloting the helicopter back to base yourself.

For those looking to experience helicopter training a little more deeply.

The full lesson lasts for 2 hours. You’ll be thoroughly briefed by your certified flight instructor on what to expect from your helicopter experience. Next you’ll be taken through a pre-flight inspection of our Schweizer 300C helicopter before strapping in for a start up. Once airborne you’ll be given a full demonstration of the effects of the helicopters flight controls before trying it out for yourself. Once comfortable you’ll fly you and your instructor back to home base where you’ll receive a debrief on the days flying.

Guidelines

  • No previous experience or license is required

  • Minimum age is 15 years

  • Participants need be over 5″1′ (160cm) tall to reach the controls

  • For comfort and safety reasons, there is a 265lbs weight limit

  • Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances
